The Bumping Meeting will take place on August 2nd, at DEC (14033 92 Avenue Surrey, B.C. Canada V3V 0B7)

Not sure if you have Bumping Rights?

• If you POSTED into a position at the June Meeting in 2022 and you LOST hours throughout the school year, you may qualify for bumping rights.
• You MUST attend the Posting Meeting on June 30th and declare at the microphone that you want to go to the Bumping Meeting.
• Please note, it is advisable to look for a position at the Posting Meeting because there is NO guarantee that there will be position(s) for you to look at at the Bumping Meeting.
• The positions that are at the Bumping Meeting are those that IESW’s left when they posted out at their position.

 

The EA/ABA (IESW) will be at the Bell Center at Sullivan Heights Highschool.  Parking will be limited to you MUST carpool.

Please ensure that you bring any/all certificates to the meeting (ex. Autism Certificate, Sign Language…)

If you post for a position that requires you to speak French, please be prepared to prove that (possibly by speaking with the Admin on the phone).

Please make sure you look at the postings beforehand (both on Monday and Thursday of this week) and have your list of postings written out to make it easier for you.

 

Meeting will take place in person on August 2nd at 10:30am.

This monthly meeting is for ALL CUPE728 members.  This will be on-line and in person.  Don’t forget, if you come in person we have food, drinks and prizes!

728 HOLDING SOCIETY AGENDA (7:30pm)

There are a total of nine (9) 728 Holding Society Directors: The President of CUPE 728, four (4) elected Executives and four (4) elected Members from the floor.

• Four (4) elected Executives from the May 4, 2023 Executive meeting as 728 Holding Society Directors are: Allan Henricks, Amanda Williams, Shannon Levinsky and Theresa Pidcock.

1. Nominate and elect four (4) Members from the floor as Directors to the 728 Holding Society.

2. Nominate and Elect the Chair for the 728 Holding Society Committee.

 

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

May 17, 2023

The May 17th GM will be a HYBRID meeting starting at 7:30 p.m (the Holdings Society will start firs followed by the GM). You can attend in person at the Surrey Beavers Athletic Association (Rugby Club) – 17395 57th Ave, Surrey

You must pre-register for this meeting using your FIRST AND LAST NAME even if you plan to attend in person as all voting is done through Zoom.

You WILL NOT be let into the meeting unless you register using your first and last name.

Welcome to the Canadian Labour Congress’ 30th Constitutional Convention, held at the Palais des Congrès in Montréal from May 8 to May 12, 2023.  Safe travels for those CUPE728 members that are attending.  We look forward to hearing your reports when you return
