We are excited to share that the DPAC (District Parent Advisory Council) and the STA (Surrey Teacher’s Association) is putting a Sun Run Team together with CUPe728. Our team name is Surrey Students Deserve Better. For those CUPE728 members that sign up on our team, you will have access to a FREE running clinic starting mid- to end-January put on by Marcey, Communications Officer. Marcey has put on running clinics for CUPE728 before and was a past personal trainer for many years, even working in the Saskatchewan Roughriders Training Camps for 2 years.
This running clinic will be designed for those 728 members that are new to running or want to learn. Marcey will post running tips on this page along with stretches and much more info. The plan will be to meet once a week as a group in Surrey and train together. Marcey will canvas those that sign up on the running group to see what day of the week is best for those. Marcey will also provide the 728 participants with additional training runs throughout that week. Marcey is looking at setting up a What’s App group to help with motivation and support. This What’s App group could also be used to let others know when participants are going for a run so others can join.

Team Name: Surrey Students Deserve Better and use the Team Access Code MSREDE
Fill out your personal information, T-Shirt Size, Estimated Finishing Time (if this is your first time, it might be a good idea to choose the purple group), choose to make a donation, go through the Sun Run Waiver and Add to Cart
